I have over 3000 miles on my 2018 premium, and I smell something like burning plastic. It happens in different areas, but usually under load, like a steep hill. I thought it would go away, but it has been there since new. It does not smell like brakes, oil, or tranny fluid. We don't smoke.

About 3000 miles using Fuelly.com to track actual mileage. 21.7 mpg, but my area is rural, no traffic, and I am pretty light on the pedal. Dash usually shows 22.5.

As far as the engine goes, I have a 4.7 in a first gen Tundra and a 2018 4R. I like the torque in the 4.7, but the 4.0 is plenty good for me. Comparing apples to oranges, the Tundra gets 16 and the 4R gets 21 for me. So that makes the 4.0 better for me. I don't tow either. I would go with...
