Ex glass guy here…. Typically under the cowl is the wiper linkage and motor. This is almost like a tub with a drain system out of the vehicle.
Now, if your getting water on the floor, typically that drain is clogged and overflowing.
I wouldn’t be concerned about this corner trim other than...
