    Rear Lower Control Arm

Great tip. That's what I'll be using instead of a climbing rope pulley system rigged to the front wheel and assisted by my boot.

    Rear Lower Control Arm

I did remove the metal sleeve. It was a good portion of the "rather unpleasant" part of the job. I followed the OP's and Chuckles89 method of cutting through it and knocking it out. I wasn't able to push/slide it out like the OP and had to use a punch and chisel like Chuckles. I will try and...

    Rear Lower Control Arm

Did the drivers side 2 weekends ago. I was short on time and am glad I only did one side. It wasn't overly pleasant. Bushings fit great. I had a bear of a time getting the axle lined up with the control arm. Will rig a better come-along type system next time unless anyone has a suggestion on how...

    Rear Lower Control Arm

I haven't installed them yet. I ordered new bolts from the dealership and they haven't arrived. I measured them best I could on the vehicle and they look correct and they are the same part # MStudt posted above.

    Rear Lower Control Arm

Got the Whiteline W63378 from Amazon seller X Auto Racing. Ordered on Feb 3, received today, Feb 8. $62.35. I am little concerned about fitment. Now that I look around some sites saying 2003-2009 4Runner, but others list the 3rd gen. I'll try and get measurements and confirm tonight.

    Rear Lower Control Arm

Let us know how it plays out. I just ordered from a different seller on Amazon and will report back how that plays out. I don't want to pay the extra shipping from AU if I don't have to.

    Rear Lower Control Arm

One of the reasons, aside from quality, that I want to use poly bushings is that you don't need a press to install. While looking for solutions I found Chuckles video on youtube that confirms: Lower Control Arm Bushing Hope this helps you solve the issue once for all.

    Rear Lower Control Arm

Or Whiteline on Amazon: Whiteline W63378 Rear Trailing Arm Bushing I was checking mine last night and will either order the full PolyTuff kit as per Chuckles or may just do the lowers via Amazon link. The panhard and uppers don't seem too bad, but the lowers are disintegrating.

    Chuckles' 98 Manual SR5 4Runner

First off, nice thread and nice work. So, were you able to determine if any of the energy suspensions bushings would possibleywork for the lower rear control arm? Don't really want to buy the full poly-tuff set and mine are almost disintegrated. Thanks.
