Yeah you're over thinking it. I followed the Toyota procedure ie overfilling, and I have 135k miles with zero issues.

I replaced the ECGS bushing myself. I am not a mechanic. It was an involved process, and you need the right tools, but I got it done. All that said, it really didn't do anything for me. I had the shimmy, and the bushing doesn't fix that. I echo what others have said, try to get the tires...

This. I know this will make some guys mad, but why anyone would anyone buy a new $45k truck that is literally mechanically identical to my 2010 TE is beyond me. If I wanted a facelifted 5th gen I would find the cheapest 2014 trail I could find. I've seen some really nice ones for less than $30K.
