I ran 300lbs of salt bags in the back of my 4runner until my Shrockworks bumper came in. It's a bit of a inconvenience but the ride was unbearable without it. For a temporary fix though, it's not a bad idea to throw some extra weight in the back as needed.

Same thing happened to me, i replaced both wheel bearings and all the seals but now i have an abs code....weird. I'm confident everything i did was to spec with Toyota parts. I'm wondering though if i didn't damage a sensor or sensor wire when removing them. Mine rig is driveable though...

Factory coils with spacer lift in the front, OME shocks all around, 906 coils in the back with 10mm trim spacers. Rides great and works fine!

I'll take a stab at your problem since I've been researching this as well for my vehicle. Mine 4runner doesn't die though, it has a miss if i take off fast and when letting off the throttle when driving down the road, the rpms will take a dive and then come back up to normal. It's never died...
