I got my notice 2 days ago. I wonder how much R & L Carriers lost from them, can't blame them for trying to get money from me but I've already paid once and I'm not doing it again.
What a sh!t company Shrockworks turned out to be....that's too bad
I must say I feel very fortunate and lucky. I ordered my rear bumper in March of last year and it took them 6 months to deliver it but I got it. They even had to remake the bumper at one point because they said their computer crashed and lost my options that I added.
I mentioned on the phone...
I'm dealing with this right now too only I haven't looked to see where it's leaking from yet. I only noticed it when I opened the sunshade on my sunroof and noticed a drip from the front...right above the overhead light switches.
My temporary fix: Gorilla tape along all the seams and sunroof...
I had the exact same Bilsteins in the back and replaced them with the LC shocks and I could not be happier...and yes they're a heck of a lot cheaper! I can't enough good things about them, it's almost as if they were tuned to run on 4runners. Can't say I'm a fan of the Bilstein 5100s, I do...
I ran 300lbs of salt bags in the back of my 4runner until my Shrockworks bumper came in. It's a bit of a inconvenience but the ride was unbearable without it. For a temporary fix though, it's not a bad idea to throw some extra weight in the back as needed.
No LC springs or Bilstein 5100 shocks in the rear of mine but I did get my LC shocks installed and they ride fantastic....they even have a skid plate welded on from the factory. I'm running OME 906 coils with a 1.5" spacer on the drivers side and 2 10mm spacers on top of the coil on the...
Thanks I may look him up, I did order the Land Cruiser shocks a few days ago since they're cheap enough. I was tempted to rob the shocks off my FJ and to see how they ride but I'll try the LC shocks first. I'm going to throw in a 1.5" coil spacer on top of the 906 coils while I'm at it. I...
I'll be watching for you to post your results to this thread, I'm very curious to what you find out. I'm fighting suspension issues as well, my extended travel Bilstein 5100 shocks in the rear are just way too bouncy. My OME 906 coils and Shrockworks bumper (with tire carrier, tire, and...
Excellent advice on buying an extra seal and putting it in the freezer...every little mil of shrinkage could help.
Just so everyone knows, I picked up an oem Koyo bearing with 2 collars for $65 at my local Napa store. That's a great price compared to Amazon and eBay at the moment. Parts came...
Glad your install went well, it can be overwhelming at first but Timmy's videos are a Godsend.
I just did mine a couple months ago but I messed up on the drivers side...i installed the oil seal backwards! I didn't realize it until it was installed so instead of fixing it then I decided to see...
Same thing happened to me, i replaced both wheel bearings and all the seals but now i have an abs code....weird. I'm confident everything i did was to spec with Toyota parts. I'm wondering though if i didn't damage a sensor or sensor wire when removing them. Mine rig is driveable though...
I'll take a stab at your problem since I've been researching this as well for my vehicle. Mine 4runner doesn't die though, it has a miss if i take off fast and when letting off the throttle when driving down the road, the rpms will take a dive and then come back up to normal. It's never died...
