You would be correct. You could mount and balance a tire and have little to no vibration. The only reason I mentioned road forcing is I've yet to mount a tire and not have some, and sometimes excessive, road force issues. To the average person, this may not be felt or noticed. But its there...
OK, take this for what it's worth.... the $ spent on mount/balance at a good shop (Hunter GPS9700) (pick your level of satisfaction, it's what I have) is worth it's weight in gold. The ride will be perfect! I've mounted and balanced the most obnoxious wheel/tire combos and have no complaints...
