Any of the big 3 will require additional maintenance when compared to OEM or something with rubber bushings vs. heims, my guess is that in a harsher environment....it just requires more.

You'll want to do the BMC. I have the Ray10s as well with 285s and a 2.5" lift and had horrendous rubbing on the body mount. Just go for it...
