    3.0 V6 Lifespan?

The one I just got popped the head gasket at 250k and a new replacement engine was put in. It was meticulously maintained and I have a stack of records 3” thick dating back to 93’ I’m working on getting the parts to complete the 3.4 swap as I know this one will eventually pop.

Power Brake Booster died and they want $850? Should I do it?

Bob, brake boosters are a very easy repair. Grab a manual as I am not familiar with a 2007 so can’t give you specifics. It’s really a very simple job and that amount of money for a 1 hour job is ridiculous.

    1990 22RE - Coolant in Oil

Another thing I don’t see mentioned about coolant being in the oil is that as soon as coolant appears in the oil you need to stop driving immediately. It really doesn’t take long at all for coolant to destroy your crank bearings. They can turn them to brass within a few minutes.

Future value of the 1st Gen 4runner???

I believe the value of the 1st gens will only increase. The removable top and customizable features it boasts make it hold its value very well. I would love to get my hands on one but the cheapest I have seen for a very clean 1st gen here in the PNW is 6k. Can get them for cheaper as long as you...

    2nd Gen T4R Picture Gallery

Just picked up this 93 with 50k on a new engine. Doing the water pump and timing belt next week. It’s all stock besides the engine. OD reads 292k I’ve replaced the stock front shocks and am prepping to replace the rear coils and shocks to eliminate the sag. It was in very well maintained...
