I was under the impression the bell housings swapped over. That was the case with the 2.7 bolting up to the W-56 tranny in my last 4runner engine swap. I would assume the bell housing from the 3.4 tranny would bolt up to the tranny behind the 3.slow. Id say look into swapping bell housings...

I just found a screaming deal for a full set of stock billstien shocks from a 2013 tacoma. The set has 800 miles on them and he is selling them for $100. My question is, do you think they would work on my 97' stock 4runner???

Actually, I just sold my 87' 4runner over Christmas break and got a 97' the next day. My headlights in my 87' were WAY better than the ones in my 97'. Its literally night and day difference. I need to swap them out but i want to do my homework and get the best bang for the buck

I just called that same dealership... nope, they dont have them.... I think color matched bushwackers is the new way to go. At least it will be if i cant find any mudflaps by this summer.

yea, good luck! ive been looking for a set for a few months.... i have friends in oregon, alabama, new york, one in colorado, and one in cali that have called around to local junk yards/ toyota places and NO ONE has them... wtf?! but yes... the search continues....

I had those in my 87' and they weren't that impressive.... maybe they didn't get enough juice from old wiring but i wasn't in ah of them. they weren't "operating room" status.
