Need some advise for my 2007 4Runners LCA bushings and PS rack

If your car has seen a lot of water Dznuts has a good point... I would say check the lower ball joints if he is taking the lower control arm off that is the main contact point so he is halfway there. Check your CV's make sure the boots are in good shape and are not torn if you are 4x4.

    Going to an f150 ecoboost

I drive a 2016 2.7 at work 4x4 with diff locker etc. I like the ride quality and it has good acceleration. Engine and 5+ speed tranny can tow different things well mostly a water buffalo or odd trailer at work site. ~1-5k tow loads - My average for the life of the truck is 15.5 mpg and I tow...

V6 Transmission Fluid and Filter Replacement made easy

This is how its done folks. Wish I had a picture handy of the connection to radiator (or "heat exchanger" in toyota manual) from transmission but it is on the right hand side of the radiator at the top. It almost seems too easy! Dont forget to follow a guide on fluid temperature check before...

    Zombie Runner - 2007 4Runner

Looks bad a**! I roll 32's all over this dang desert no problem. The lighter tires and smaller diameter balance well with ATRAC and the stock drive gearing. I put some longer sway bar links in the back helped smooth it out a bit.

    150K Service Essentials

Hello Alaskaman, I just wanted to chime in and state that for severe use Toyota recommends 60k on the driveline fluids (tranny, diffs, t-case). A lot of the users here would agree that is a safe interval if you are offroading or towing. I have a thread here that discusses tranny oil lab...

    Anyone running 255/75r17?

where is the op? lol. I have enjoyed my Hankook Dynapros in this size. See lift info below. I did not mount them until I was lifted so see other posts for info on that. One thing I was going for when getting bigger tires was to watch the weight, these tires are really close to stock tire...

Sway Bar Links - Eugene, OR

Greetings, I read your intro post and I apologize for not doing more research, but are the "disco" type links the only ones that will work for 4th gen? I just put my front sway bar back on because I was tired of fighting on high speed freeway to track straight. I am now really missing having it...

Transmission Fluid (WS) Blackstone Labs Report

Another good question that I will email to Blackstone. I would take a guess that either they need to get consistent on baselines, or that they simply have more data on averages at this time compared to a few years ago.

Transmission Fluid (WS) Blackstone Labs Report

Good question Keakar, I will try to answer it. New fluid should not have any of the metals or contaminants listed with values in the lab results. So baseline would be 0. For fluid properties, the baseline for new fluid or acceptable ranges are detailed in the left column (viscocity...

2008 T4R A750 Tranny rebuild (no shutter fix)

Glad you got the shudder figured out, on the plus side you know you have a solid tranny for a long time! Who was this guy that wrote a book on the tranny?

Transmission Fluid (WS) Blackstone Labs Report

Hey Ron, Thank you for posting this! it would be cool to compare our results, you doing a drain and fill and me doing a full flush. I know our mileages are a little off but there could still be some solid info to help folks decide on what method to take on. PS Most of the posts I have been...
