Well, the light does not come on in the instrument cluster when the rear hatch is open. The rest of the stuff on the hatch works. The rear wiper and wiper fluid. The window rolls up and down. License plate lights also work. Had to replace a bulb but they both work.

I will check to see if the light in the cluster works. I have not investigated yet cuz I wasn't sure where I should start. My glove box light also isn't working. All 3 of the tiny bulbs...glove box and both climate control bulbs were burned out. Replaced both climate control bulbs and they work...

My '98 rear dome light only works when the switch is set to 'on'. It doesn't work when the switch is set to 'door'. Is the switch bad or am I missing something? Is that dome light only for the rear hatch?

#2721? Is there a number equivalent to that from like AutoZone? I am not seeing that number bulb online and I need both bulbs for my climate controls.

Are you particularly fond of your 06? If you are, why not rebuild the motor/trans? If not, maybe a newer one? I have a 1998 SR5 2WD. I wish it was 4WD LOL! I have driven it 40k miles since I got it from my dad a year and a half ago. I really enjoy it, but if I had the chance to get a newer one...

I barely get 225 miles on one tank in my 3.4L 1998. My dad had the 4runner before I bought it from him, he put BF Goodrich All Terrain tires on it too...which is dumb because it's not 4WD. I'm not going to change the tires until they are done though...too darn expensive to just up and replace...
