I had a mechanic do this for me. He suggested leaving everything in place in case I decided to go back to XREAS. At some point, probably will have them removed.
Just had shocks and struts on my 2007 4Runner Sport with X-Reas changed out to Monroe Quick Struts and shocks. Capped off hydraulic lines per instructions found here and bypassed X-Reas. Change kept vehicle @ same approx. height with no modifications to springs other than to toss factory fronts...
