My Runner is only a couple of months old now and I have the OEM mats turned upside down so that the black rubber side is up. Eventually planning on flipping them over so I can see the embroidered "4Runner" on the carpeted side. I would like to have a set of the Weathertech ones too though...

I've owned both an 03 Sport and an 06 Sport. I love my 06 (projector headlights, LED taillights, rounded fenders), but I'll have to say that my 03 was pretty damn sharp. It was the first 4Runner I ever owned though, so it holds a soft spot in my heart! :) Kinda like your first love I suppose!

The Dunlop's that come standard on some 4Runner's are crap in my opinion. I switched mine out to Michelin Cross Terrains and noticed a BIG difference in noise, smoothness and handling.

My 03 Sport did the same exact thing! I never worried too much about it because the rubbing areas were never visible once the fuel door was closed. It sure made an annoying noise when the door was being opened though!

Yep, just regular ol' double sided tape works well. Be careful though. Once that stuff sticks it's hard to ever break loose to adjust the position of the deflectors. I don't know what happened with that one! As I said in my initial post I never even noticed that it had faded until I layed em'...
