Cracked exhaust manifold. Front wheel bearings usually need replacing at about 100k. Timing belt done? I've owned mine since new (also 04) and it's been the best, most dependable ride I've ever had.

I didn't get in on this group buy--out of country--but ordered a pair direct. Thorley sent me an email stating that the headers would be shipped this week. I'm assuming we're all in the same production run. 2004 4.7

Still kinda sounds like an exhaust leak. Tough to tell. I've got a 2004 4.7 which does have a cracked exhaust manifold and which sounds somewhat similar. The difference is mine goes away after warm up.

Wanted to thank the OP for this post. I have steel winters w/o sensors and the TPMS light would start flashing with a change in elevation. ? No more!

Kinda sounds like an exhaust leak. Does it go away when the engine warms up? Could be the dreaded cracked exhaust manifold.
