Need a '97 OEM fog lamps fix.

I figured you'd chime in with a tinge of criticism...and almost a question - here's the answer, and I don't recall saying what worked for someone else. Glad the forum is an ego trip for you. Anyway - Relay corroded. When relay taken out of line, and wires jumped to complete circuit - fogs come...

Need a '97 OEM fog lamps fix.

Just bought a $10 hella relay on ebay. To read the darn numbers, I had to put a piece of paper over the relay and scratch with a pencil! Anyway - the serial# is: 4RA003510-08. It's a 4 pin 30A/12V. It's not an oem part, but hopefully (my favorite word lately) it'll work.

BTW - The relay, (engine comp. next to battery) is HELLA brand.

Need a '97 OEM fog lamps fix.

Good luck with the LED's. I think I'll disconnect my ghetto jumper. No sense in cooking the lights, and wires, when there's no emergency involved. I also noticed that when I hit the switch 'on' for fog lamps; my low beams seem to lose power.

Need a '97 OEM fog lamps fix.

Spent half the day isolating with voltmeter. Really sucked. Finally decided it was the relay, located near the battery, mounted on the engine compartment/fender wall. The DMM/voltmeter didn't show any consistency in regards to resistance. Advanced had a generic relay that didn't help. Where I...

I drove to Advance and swapped out the bulbs on both lamps, but that didn't work. The problem must be in the wiring. No fuses are blown. Any ideas?

    Help! Buying 1st 4runner 3rd gen

I'm kind of getting the idea that there isn't a big difference. Thanks to all for the input.....if there's more info anybody can throw my way, I'd appreciate it. I will check this thread in the morning, cause I might buy a tr4 Saturday afternoon.

    Help! Buying 1st 4runner 3rd gen

Yea- 3rd gen, sorry. I'm guessing that the biggest difference is the trim package, including bells and whistles. Do you think there is a difference in suspension or 4WD systems? Don't really want, or need, an AWD. (I heard that the Limited has an AWD).

    Help! Buying 1st 4runner 3rd gen

I need to know the difference (specifically) between the SR5 and the Limited 4WD capabilities. One thread said that the SR5 is ultimately better for off-road. I need the tr4 to perform in mostly light snow and ice (Northern VA area). I want to do some light to moderate off-roading with little to...
