Yup, I know what the rear locker is and does and I've read about the KDSS. My SR5 doesn't come with CC obviously but I have ATRAC. What I was looking for was side by side field comparison of the TRD and the SR5 going through obstacles/mud/climb/sand/etc, to see if there was any compelling reason...

I've searched the 5th gen forum and YouTube and haven't found a comparison between these two models. I'd really like to see a video that puts the two models side by side to see if there's any significant difference. Could anyone guide me to a thread or video? Thanks!

My 2017 SR5 with 30K is going back to Toyota for a second needle bearing replacement. Curious if the issue is the needle bearing or where it sits in the front diff? The TSB says Toyota will replace needle bearing for 60K/5yrs but at what point do they stop replacing the bearings and fix the root...

I've searched 5th gen posts to see if there's a comparison between the SR5 and the TRD as far as capability for a 80% street 20% light off road owner. Couldn't find anything. I'm probably not using the best research info.

I've had my 17 SR5 for almost 2 years. Started a tile installation business so I'm starting to research suspension upgrade to handle additional weight in the truck and pulling a trailer.

Roller bearing replacement Scheduled my 17 SR5 Premium to have a left front roller bearing replaced. 11,000 miles. Presented a cycling drone noise from front end. This is a Toyota Service Bulletin (TSB 0026-15).
