This one has 150,000 miles and I don’t know if they were ever changed because it’s new to me. All my other 4Runners I’ve replaced them with OEM parts before they gave me trouble but I didn’t get to these in time.

Thanks for the reply. I may have confused you, I was going 35mph. I just have 265/75, no BL or spacer on 16x8 0 offset. These have 4 settings so maybe setting 1 or 2 with my lift springs?

I would rather have a 4Runner with higher highway miles than 75k miles of 2 mile trips down the street. Just personal preference.

I’ve had many combos on my 3rd gens but the biggest was 285s with 16x8 0 offset. My new 3rd gen I went with a 3” lift with 265/75s (31s) and it’s my favorite setup. I still get my 22mpg w/ city driving.

Indeed. They are Enkei RPT1s. Essentially the truck version of the RFP1.

I wish the newer Tundra suspension worked with 3rd gens. I bought a new TRD Tundra in 2008 and lifted it when it had 50 miles. Suspension has been in the attic ever since.

I had a similar noise on my last 3rd gen that I could feel on the floor. Turned out my aftermarket Jaos exhaust was contacting the trailer hitch over bumps and it was being transmitted up the frame rail to the floor board.

Thanks for the advice. I ended up just ordering the regular 5100s for my Surf. After measuring from the center of the wheel to the bottom of the fender on my truck and one that was stock, I determined mine sat 1.75” higher.

I’ve owned both, and both were automatics and I enjoyed both of them. The 2.7 had plenty of power for what I used it for. If you’re looking to swap to a 4 cylinder, I’d throw something unquie in there.

I have a 1996 with worn out Rancho RS9000 and unknown springs with 265/75. The rear measures 38” from the ground to the fender flare and the front measures 36.5”. Should I go with the 4th Gen 5100s or the 3rd Gen 5100s since my truck has about 3” of lift?

Thanks for the input Gents and the support Taylor. I'm currently far north at Misawa Air Base. I'm going to have my friend inspect it and let me know what kind of condition it's in.
