Michelin defender ltx m/s vs. General grabber atx

Those tires don't seem like they're all that comparable, so I guess for me it would depend more on how you were going to use your truck. My 4runner was wearing Michelin LTX Energy tires when I bought it, great on pavement, but recently replaced with the General ATX on 17s. The General's are...

    Bilstein 6112 on 2005 V8 4runner 4th Gen

I'm going down the same path, but with Wheeler's T12s in the rear. Just waiting for the 5160s to show up. I had the same question, and after a lot of searching, I think I've settled on setting both sides to the third position (1.89"), and putting an ome 10mm trim packer on the driver's rear...

The Grocery Getter: Mrs. Bigfish's 2008 Sport Edition V6 4wd

Nah, I picked it up at Rich Ford in Edgewood. They took it in on trade from someone here in Santa Fe. I'd been looking pretty hard for a while, and was about to expand my search parameters when it popped up. I think I paid a premium for it, but with only had 69k on it, and considering I keep...

NY, wow. Must be hard to find parts without corrosion. Now back to craigslist.

The Grocery Getter: Mrs. Bigfish's 2008 Sport Edition V6 4wd

Truck looks great. Wondering if you still have your stock wheels, and if you wanted to sell? Just bought an 07 Limited, and looking to move from my 18" to 17".

    2-3" Comfort Rear Lift Options

AFAIK you are correct. When I bought my shocks I was told the 4runner shocks support a two inch lift, while the Tundra shocks are good for three. I'm pretty sure the 906 and 891 have the same spring rate. I know I'm probably thinking about this wrong, but I wonder if the 891 might feel softer...

    2-3" Comfort Rear Lift Options

I just replaced my rear setup (99 talls, Bilstein HDs, and Firestone airbags, bought new and currently have 40k on them) with OME 890s and Tundra 5100s. I am surprised to say that my truck feels smoother with the OME set up. I still have the 99 talls with the HDs in the front, and think it's a...

    NPA: Bilstein 47-258624 - 6112 Coilovers for 96-02 Toyota 4Runner

Can anyone explain why the 5160 is only going to have a 90 day warranty vs the 5100's limited lifetime warranty?

When do they die and what kills them?

All too familiar with this scenario!

    Ride Quality: BFG KO2s (E) vs GG AT2s (P)

I think the additional weight of the KO2s should also be a consideration.

When do they die and what kills them?

Whenever I go looking for parts at the wrecking yard, the 4runners/Toyotas have all been involved in some major accident. Tons of Isuzus, Range Rovers, and various other brands with bodies that look to be in pretty good shape.

Reviews on the new Bilstein 6112 coilovers?

Maybe not an apples to apples comparison, but I'd appreciate any comparison or any input for that matter.
