AFAIK you are correct. When I bought my shocks I was told the 4runner shocks support a two inch lift, while the Tundra shocks are good for three. I'm pretty sure the 906 and 891 have the same spring rate. I know I'm probably thinking about this wrong, but I wonder if the 891 might feel softer...

All too familiar with this scenario!

I think the additional weight of the KO2s should also be a consideration.

Whenever I go looking for parts at the wrecking yard, the 4runners/Toyotas have all been involved in some major accident. Tons of Isuzus, Range Rovers, and various other brands with bodies that look to be in pretty good shape.

Maybe not an apples to apples comparison, but I'd appreciate any comparison or any input for that matter.
