My 97 4runner does the same thing but I have 205,000 miles on it and the noise is coming somewhere from engine. I want to fix it but Idk what it is

Are u saying to use earplugs so I won't hear the noise? Lol

I have a 1997 4runner with 205,000 miles and the engine has been making a loud ticking or clicking noise at idle. I heard that 4runners are notorious for making those noises after 200,000 miles. I want to fix it but I don't know where to start.
