This is an easy question, V8 all the way.....Early 03-04 models have 4 speeds with the V6 so who wants that, the V8 comes with full-time 4WD so no need to worry on that....320 lbs of torque at 3400 rpm is much more fun that 235 lbs of torque at 4800...Also the 4.7 was Toyota's first V8 truck...
