the recall is for the head gaskets on some 1986 to 1995 toyota v-6 3.0. depending on what factory the motor was maid at between those years had severe head gasket problems. i dont know if its the actual head gasket or if its how the assembled it. but they had a ton of problems with the head gaskets.

are you doing ball joints?? what i usually do is get a pry bar and pry up on the ball joint while you take a hammer and find something solid to hit where the ball joint enters. most of the time you can pop them out that way. usually takes two people one for the pry bar and one for the hammer
