These trucks are getting pretty old at this point. Not many vehicles make it this long anymore. As reliable as the 3rd gens are, everything breaks eventually! I'm hoping i get 10 more years out of mine, but i'm sure somewhere along the way its gonna need something major. Fingers crossed!
Changing the coolant on a regular basis is just as, if not more important than the brand you use. Find one that meets the requirements and stick with it.
This is sad to hear. Bilsteins have been a decent shock at a decent price for many years. They are popular with so many makes and models on and off the road. I hope these incidents are flukes and not a common occurrence. Maybe the quality control just isn't there anymore...
Just picked up this '99 over the weekend from a friend. So far i'm loving it! It's in good shape and has been well maintained. Looking to trade for some 5 star limited wheels if anyone is interested!
