Ugh, I really need to get off my ass and get this done. Have had the FJ springs sitting in the garage for close to 8 months now. Going to do 5100s and planning on getting new tires for the winter. Pretty torn on 265/70/17 vs 285/70/17. Really sucks that the 285 doesn't fit in the spare spot...

Awesome, will be adding some of those. IMO unless you are just driving down the street to a local spot there should always be a front and rear tie point. Just two straps over the top is kind of sketchy.

Living up north you really are not going to enjoy driving anything with a rating less than 3PMSF. M+S would be decent for the mid Atlantic region. Better yet put a set of snows on cheap steelies and call it a day.

I’m about to do the first oil change on my new (to me) 09. Planning to use tried and true Mobile 1 high mileage.

Those little Blazers surprise a lot of people. With the front sway bar disco’d they articulate pretty well. Factory locker is far from indestructible but I never had issues with mine. Agreed on the new Blazer, what an abomination.

2004 Chevy Blazer Zr2 - RIP. Mule deer 0, blazer.. also 0 205K, ran like a dime. Had maybe another 2-3 years before it rusted out, but hey, that will happen after 14 east coast winters. Mechanically it was perfect.
