I can't say anything about the connector, but one thing to consider with the Premium package homelink: It's always powered. So if you park outside, something to consider.... Someone here did a writeup were they replaced the dimmer mirror with a unit from a Subaru, that has homelink in it...

Yeah, go to the 3:00 minute mark. He even said you'll lose the aux input, and that the pigtail is going to the cigarette lighter. Power only. Like the product, but wish it was USB-C :(

I might be wrong, but I believe that item is NOT to replace your USB port. It goes in a blank, but that pigtail is to tap into the cigarette lighter, that's next to the usb port. Power only; no data-connectivity

Guess I could have worded it better. Depends on insurance provider, but my company gave a discount of "new vehicle" for x amount of years (probably based upon part availability, features, etc; who knows, I'm not an actuary). Then I didn't qualify for that discount, and went back to the normal...

Two other things to consider too: - Depending on insurance carrier, "new car" could expire after three or four years. Same car, nothing's changed, but since my vehicle is no longer "new", rates went up a smidge. - new cars are exempt from smog for 5 years. I do my first smog this year.
