    2000 4Runner Limited 4x4, Fullerton CA

I am selling my 2000 Toyota Runner Limited 4x4. It's in excellent mechanical condition, and it is very clean. It is completely caught up on maintenance and it is ready to drive. I think that this is the best looking 4Runner out there. I hate to sell it because it is such a healthy, good...

    coleman safari rack

I just got the Coleman roof rack from Costco. It's not bad for the price. Probably not as strong as a Thule, but for $75 w/ free shipping, you can't complain. You can get it on Costco.com. Weight limit is 110 lbs. I got it to hold gas cans for my trip to Death Valley next month.

New to 4runners a few questions

Re: Re: Re: What shop did you take ur car to for inspection? I normally take my cars to Strege Automotive in La Habra, but they were busy so I used JMO in Fullerton . They seem to know Toyotas very well.

New to 4runners a few questions

Re: What shop did you take ur car to for inspection? Because the 4Runner was very clean and had a bunch of add-ons that I was looking for, I paid just about high blue book price (www.kbb.com). Most add-ons do not factor into the KBB price, so I figured that I got a decent deal.

    How would this work

I've got a flip-up Alpine installed in the bottom deck. When it pops out, it just barely clears the auto shifter when in park. When the screen is up, it's hard to adjust the climate controls. One of the buttons on the dvd player drops the face for a few seconds, so it's no big deal.

New to 4runners a few questions

I had mine inspected by an import shop for about $65 before I bought it. They removed all four wheels and checked the axle seals and brakes as part of the inspection. From now on, I would never buy a used vehicle without an independent inspection. It only takes an hour or so, and the sellers are...

when to do the timing chain?

I'm not sure about the total cost, since the previous owner gave me most of the parts. Since you're dealing with engine components, I would definitely use official Toyota parts. They can get VERY expensive. Don't let your mechanic track down the parts for you - by the time that he marks them up...

    Found new compartment

I found that compartment on the first day, but it took me a week before I found the tasty french fries stashed between the console and the seat!

My new 4Runner Limited 4wd (pics)

The trip was pretty mellow. The Cleveland National Forest doesn't really have any hardcore trails - it's mostly graded fire roads. It's a great area for first-timers. Since you've never been off-roading before, I'd recommend dropping tire pressure to 15 psi or so just to help with the bumps...

Did I say $200? I meant $75. I thought I had more room in my garage.

Hood from 2000 Toyota 4Runner - So Cal

I just bought a used 2000 Toyota 4Runner Limited. The previous owner had swapped in the sport hood (with the fake hood scoop). He had the old hood in his garage for a while, but he gave it to me when he sold the 4runner to me. Unfortunately, he bumped his boat into the back of the hood and put...
