Another datapoint While some people have claimed to only get 1/2" out of the rear FJ coils when installed on their 4Runner, I definitely saw 1" and that never settled over the next 100k miles I ran the set up I described above (stock 4x4 V8 front springs with 2" Daystar spacer and 4x4 FJ rear...

I put an AEM cone on my K&N kit. The part number I used was AVM-21-209EDK.

I suspect that theyre not the same. At the very least, the 06+ grills are bolted through the hood, so there are extra holes in the newer style. Besides, they didnt offer Shadow Mica in '05, and Im looking for a drop-in swap. Sounds like it wouldnt have worked after all!

Congrats on the new truck. Where are you located? Thats the first 4WD V8 Sport Ive seen without a spoiler (besides mine). I resorted to a special order to get mine that way- I wonder if yours was a special order as well and the buyer backed out. I wasnt aware of any region that equipped...
