grinding noise coming from rear passenger wheel

Seven years later I’m about to take mine into the dealer for the exact same issue. Pretty sure it’s rear wheel bearing on mine - a familiar sound.

Prinsu or Sherpa + Yakima bike rack = Possible???

I'm interested in ordering a new roof rack. But the most important thing I put on my roof is two mountain bikes (my hitch has two e-bikes). With the 1"x2" crossbars Prinsu and Sherpa use, I'm just not sure if my old Yakima roof mount bike racks will easily mount. Right now I have Toyo factory...

5th Gen - Victory 4x4 skid plate for sale Morgantown $300

UPDATE: 6/14/2012 - this is sold. Thanks! It’s solid steel. It’s powder coated. It’s heavy and solid. And it’s more than I need. Was on truck for 2,000 miles, but in very good shape. I had local weld shop weld the oil change plate nuts to the back side - much easier to remove/replace that...

TRD Pro roof rack - bike carrier???

I’ve got stock roof rack and two bike carriers on the roof. I love the look of the TRD Pro roof rack, but has anyone put fork mounted bike racks on it? Can it clear the rail in the back? Any pics? Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Question - Recommendations for alternatives to BFG KO2?

Just got 275/70r17 Wildpeaks on my stock ORP on Friday. Took them on a 100 mile interstate run and a couple of mild trails and I LOVE them. Haven’t had the others so I can’t compare, but I was pumped they were no louder than the Dunlop’s that came standard. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Leveling kit, safety and tire size and rubbing on 4runner 2021

I believe it’s one inch. The Bilstein 5100 set up I’m looking at will level it with one click on the front shocks and it’s about 7/8ths of an inch. I think. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    sleeping with drawer/platform?

I have the Yoho system from Canada and it’s is freakin’ awesome. Four wooden beams designed to cantilever over the wheel wells. Put a four inch latex mattress on it and it’s queen size heaven. Super easy to set up, amazingly comfortable and they just introduced a drawer system to match. It’s got...

    5th Gen - Engine mods???

Seems like the four liter engine in the 4Runner is durable, dependable and…underpowered. Other than a new air intake or supercharger are there any engine mods to boost a little more out of the old girl? And before the chat room snark police start up with comments about trying to turn a 4Runner...

What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

Filled the tank with gas since supply on the East Coast looks like it’ll be shut off for a bit. #ColonialPipeline #Hack Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Emergency brake - “they all do that”

Nope. They got it. I posted an update - all good. I just didn’t care for having to argue over it. Customer expresses concern. Just look into it. Don’t tell them some BS that non-functioning is how it’s supposed to be. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

If you have a TRD Skid Plate Read This!

There’s a vid on YouTube of a guy saying not to try and “clean” the bolt holes with a rethreading tool. He says you need a gun cleaning brush and some oil to just clean the dirt out of holes and longer bolts go right in. I’d try that before forcing a rethred tool into the holes to “clean” them...

Emergency brake - “they all do that”

Update - had to basically argue with the dealer, but he sent it back to a technician who did find it needed to be adjusted. Now it seems to hold better, but still a little roll. The pedal used to go all the way to the floor with barely any effort. Now it goes 3/4 of that distance but I have to...
