One of the mechanics that i talked to said the whole assembly has to come out and cannot be picked apart and fixed. Its all "one" part basically. I hope he is wrong because new brake boosters are friggin expensive.

I also ran a scanner on my truck. It pooped out 4 codes that have to do with the brake booster assembly as well as the solenoid(s) has did anyone have that problem and was able to fix it without replacing the booster assembly? I can provide the codes if you want to know....

...Noise is back. Guess it just decided to take a vacation for a week or so.

Ive found a short term fix... possibly long term. When i come home for the night i put the e-brake on. Simple as that. Last week i did this everyday and i never heard the noise. I forgot to do it last night and this morning the noise was there. For whatever reason having the e-brake on has worked.

its got to be that. something is either jamming or not getting fluid to it because my truck will make the noise for at least 30 seconds if i start to pump the break pedal a few times it will go away in under 10 seconds. I dont know if pumping the pedal forces fluid through the break booster or...

When i first turn it on (first start in the morning only) it will cycle through five or six times. Is that normal? Throughout the day it only does it once. In the morning is when the weird noise occurs. Unless i pump the brakes a few times will it not happen. I think i need a new brake motor...

I think that the noise has something to do with the attached pictures (under the brake fluid bottle). I'm not a mechanic by any means so i don't know what to call this. I'm assuming its the electronic brake something or other.
