Best speculation of a 2023 6th generation I have seen

One thing I find very interesting is that with it being listed as a CUV, the header of the document says GA-F. So we would be getting a small body on frame vehicle

That's exciting potential for the 4runner. Somewhat surprised the highway numbers are considerably more than the city since with hybrids the city numbers tend to be pretty close to highway numbers.

On a 4runner related note, if any of you regularly watch the NFL, you probably have the seen the Outlast Outlive ad campaign toyota is running with all of the BOF vehicles driving in extreme weather. The ad campaign is set to run until Feb 2024, so I wouldn't be surprised if Toyota uses this...

Best speculation of a 2023 6th generation I have seen

Toyota is trying to compete in every type of vehicle segment there is. This seems to be an outback/CX-50 competitor, but I'd imagine more upscale and pricing aligned with the crown sedan. Not sure how Toyota can manage to market all of the vehicles they have.

I'm hopelessly optimistic the iForce Max will be available as an add-on option with every trim because I'd really like to get a hybrid SR5 premium with a third row. But considering how they positioned the hybrid as only available in up trim for the Tacoma I assume the 4runner will mirror that...

Best speculation of a 2023 6th generation I have seen

So I came across a post on Instagram today from the Land Cruiser Heritage Museum in Salt Lake City. It said they are going to be closing from July 29th to August 2nd for a private event. Toyota has posted a LC from the LC museum in conjunction with the new LC teaser photos, so I'm hoping this...

And to clarify what I meant by the rollable top available on the Wrangler, this is what I was referencing.

I'd be happily surprised if Toyota was adding certain features to the photos to throw off the internet investigators like ourselves. One thing I have considered for a while is that Toyota wouldn't do a full removable top, but instead would do a hard top with the rollable cover like you can...

Best speculation of a 2023 6th generation I have seen

To continue to stir the speculation pot, I've noticed a couple of details that are more than likely minor, but I still find interesting. 1. It doesn't appear to have a roof rack or even rough rails. If you look at the photos of the new GX, there is a flushed roof rail and a more aggressive one...

Not sure if it's related, but Toyota did release a concept vehicle in Thailand called the IMV-O which is a small modular pickup. The truck looks less like a concept and more like a production vehicle. I wonder if this is a preview of what the US version of the truck could look like. I would...

I see the 4runner competing with the Grand Cherokee (non L version), Honda Passport, and Subaru Outback. I do believe there is still room for the 4runner if the new LC is a hardcore off-roader.

I do believe Carmaker1 said the new GX was going to resemble the 70 series and with the Prado and GX basically twins, you might not be far off with that thought.

I'm very curious about the tacoma getting the 2.5 hybrid. That powertrain generally is designed to maximize MPG, but it sacrifices towing and off-road capabilities. Now if they use the prime powertrain with the 2.5 that would be cool. I also wonder if the 3.5 is only sticking around for manual...
