Mine is extremely close. After wheeling it flares up. I have had to remove it a few times and bend back the other way but it has always protected my tcase. I think I also have a quarter inch on the back bolts and all of my mounts are good

Make sure you remove the little factory skid on the tcase if there is one

If the seat is on correct and the clip is fully in the grove, the seat snugly encases the ring. I would say installer error, I have installed hundreds with no issues

I just swapped mine yesterday, setting 5 with stock 99 coils gave me about 1/2" more than the Daystar 2.5" spacer kit, the ARB bumper lowered me about 1/2-3/4". I think these put me back to a true 2.5" over my stock. My hub center to flare is 23". ride is very nice. Hope this helps...:thumb3:
