Just had a Viper 5901 with remote start installed in my limited this week. One thing to consider before having it done is which transponder bypass to get. I can only speak for certain about the DBALL module (cause that's what I currently have installed)... pretty sure that's what Viper is...

you're correct- they didn't open the door... i've tested the alarm since the incident, and it works properly (actually pretty loud since i installed the fiamms). only thing that had me confused at first is that it actually arms 30 seconds after the doors are locked- so opening the door through...

yeah, the tire/size calculator site i linked to above says that they stick out 0.6" more than stock... look pretty flush to me, no appreciable difference.
