I have a 2016 trail. The other day my wife had trouble/messed up hood latch. I tried opening it yesterday and busted the hood latch cable under the hood. I looked through the grill to try and release the hood but no go. Does anyone have experience w this?

Im seriously thinking ill cut out a section. And some metal tabs on to the piece thats cut out then just use screws going through the skid plate and the tabs to hold it in place. The factory skid plates doesnt seem like itd hold up well on rock crawling any how.

Has any one tried installing a remote start thats passive keyless entry, w a keypad, push to start that you can hook up to you phone? I have a 2016 4R trail edition that is like to have that on.

Had some fun Went to a local offroad park. Had fun but also ripped my lower valance off and got stuck in mud. 4runner is making werid smell now.

Interesting Gonna have to check them out.
