Don't take this the wrong way, but your lights may be the wrong way. From the pictures that I've seen of the baja combo lights, the wide angle/corner lights are on the bottom and the spot beams are on the top. I don't know if that makes a difference in terms of the lighting, I just thought that...

It really varies per dealership. I got a key cut and reprogrammed by the dealer for free.

I think the Raptor route would be awesome if it pans out. If you like the 4runner/SUV enough, a baja style 4runner would be awesome too. You know your situation best though. Either way, I hope you continue to stick around on the forum. Did you have any idea going in, in regards to what the trip...

I'm by no means knocking the Raptor. It's awesome that they have an active community all over the US. If I ever have the opportunity to, I'm definitely going to get one in the future. Parts fail/break all the time, no matter the brand. Go the route that makes you smile more.

The 2017 Raptor was backed by Ford and raced by Greg Foutz, a four time Baja winner. They placed 3rd last year. Looks like apples to apples.

Didn't the trd pro tundra win the Baja 1000 in the stock class in 2015? Ford brought in the 2017 Ford Raptor and it came in last place (behind some Toyota land cruisers) in the same stock class a year or two later? Curious to hear what others think about this

Not sure if this has been asked or not, but will you be able to post some pictures of the aftermath? Curious to see what a 4runner looks like after a trip like that.

My neighbor suggested putting a mosquito net on the inside of the door and let it hang outside, put the window down, and then close the door. The lining of the door essentially makes the seal, if that makes sense. Cheap and effective.
