that sucks. two excellent anecdotes that further reinforce my distrust of dealer service. will always change my oil thankyouverymuch - it may not save any money - but its definitely faster and i use the proper torque!

not bad! still way overpriced for what it is! toyota wanted $600 - haaa!

the 4R is many years behind other platforms in terms of technology - which paleo-offload purists love and its a buletproof platform so it has its niche. those same folks are of the type of mindset that wouldn't buy a 1st year of a redesigned vehicle. i think the more casual types will abandon...

There are many double-din options on Amazon like this for $350~$500 for AA. Reviews for those chinese-made units are all over the place. But at least you can get a refund on amazon if it is DOA. "Dasita" is one of the more popular ones (going back a few years).
