I hit a deer last year. It's head hit the driver's side headlight breaking the lens. I replace the whole unit. For sell is the headlamp housing and the housing holder if I understand the parts diagrams I can find online. It can save someone some money. I'd love to see the part go back into...
Well, I just want to thank BrianSD_42 for providing a positive and informative response. I'e asked my share of stupid questions seeking help with my T4R. I try to search first but like he said the search engines aren't that great. I tested the tips he referred to and expect it to be a bit...
I think they were totally trying to screw you on the trade-in offer. Nice T4R!! I am the original owner of my 1998 SR5 2WD V6. I hit 270,000 miles 2 weeks ago. Still running strong!
My 1998 4Runner SR5 V6 needs the driver's seat replaced. I found a 2000 one. I haven't gone to look at it yet. Wondering if anyone knows if this would be an exact match (not asking about cosmetics here) to my '98? Just looking at the pics he posted it looks almost identical. Need to know if...
Just yesterday I searched and found that post about using shims to remove the cup holder. After reading this I'm going to see if I can remove my broken cup holder and repair it. The spring on the right cup holder has apparently broken.
Has anyone tried to repair/replace the spring(s) in one...
After owning my 4Runner since new (16 years) I finally hit a deer in the Texas Hill Country. I knew it was inevitable but it still sucks. For me and for the deer. Luckily, the damage was minor and mostly to my driver's side headlamp and signal lamp. I've replaced those but noticed that the...
In trying to also check out why my rear hatch light wasn't working when the door was opened (but worked fine when the switch was set to "light") I tried slamming the door hard a few times and voila! It works. Fyi, the door handle also works now. So I think it is just gunk and dust...
Yeah, after reading a thread here I tried to get the most broken one out and it came right out. Unfortunately, Toyota wants $40 + tax for just one vent. I'll try to figure out where on here I can find anyone parting out parts. Thanks for the feedback!
Update: Based on reading some other threads here I tried to open the rear hatch door while applying pressure on the door and that worked. So, attempting to open the door with my right hand while even lightly applying pressure on the door causes it to work (open the door) like a champ. Anyone...
I need to replace a couple of the plastic dash vents in my 1998 4Runner that have broken after 16 years. Any help guidance on how to do this and where to get parts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
The rear hatch door handle on my 1998 4Runner just quit working today when I tried to pull on it to open the door. I'd noticed over the last few weeks that it was acting a bit weird. In that just pulling on the handle wouldn't open the door. I'd have to put my hand on the right side of the...
