If it were me and had the funds i would go with putting it on a trailer and bringing it down keeps the miles off and no worries about messing anything up or tires blowing. But if you cant get a trailer just pull the rear drive shaft as stated above.

I would take it to a exhaust shop since the dealer says its in your head and see if maybe they can locate a small leak or atleast they can locate where it is coming from better and then go from there.

Me personally wouldnt even risk it especially with us being in texas you can find plenty of them that have little to no rust and if your going to put lifts and build on it you'll regret it everytime you have to try and take something off I would pass on that one if it was me.
