Rear Bumper Construction I took off my rear bumper and replaced it with a temporary wood one! It's nice to have an easy on/off bumper when building a new one. The 18 bolts on the stock rear bumper take awhile to remove. 20+ bolts if you include the mud flaps.

After a 3" lift, 33" tires, steel bumper, and roof rack, my mpg dropped down to the 12-14 range. It's rough but worth it imo!

Here's my 4runner with a 3" lift and stock tires. In my opinion, it looks a little goofy when looked at it square on from the side. But, from most other angles the stock tires look fine. Of course though, bigger tires will transform a build. In the end I opted for 33" Toyo Open Country ATll
