Silver "shark fin" satellite radio antenna. Bought it hoping it would fix my radio issue (see my posts on here about xm antenna), but turns out there is a short in the wiring. Dealer wont take it as a return. My loss is your gain! Here is the ebay listing...

What refresh are you talking about? I plugged in the new antenna, turned on the car and saw same message. Then tried to have xm send a refresh signal and still nothing.

I did the same and im still showing the same "check antenna" message. Did you have to reset anything or did you simply plug in the new antenna and xm radio worked?

What did was your fix?

Update: I just bought a replacement antenna and spent a couple hours yesterday replacing it. Still getting the same message with new antenna plugged in and installed.

any other ideas rigtec?

Well I finally had a chance to disconnect my battery today. I removed both terminals for about 4 hours 15 minutes. Just hooked everything back up and im getting the same error. Also, radio presets are still saved on radio...

How long should I leave the battery disconnected?

I left my fuse out for 4.5 hours the first time, then about 10 hours the second time. Would it be better to disconnect the battery?

I did pull out the correct 30a fuse. There was no power to my radio.

I absolutely pulled the correct fuse. I will try it again though.

Well, I left the fuse out overnight and just plugged it back in. It didnt reset my presets. Still have the same "check antenna" message. Also, rigtec, just to clarify, I do not have a nav system. Just a regular head unit.
