    Genuine OEM Parts in CANADA

I've always ordered from Camelback. Their prices seemed to be the cheapest and has always been quick. I get it shipped to the border and then drive or just walk across, depending on what it is. Plus a drive through the southern Okanagan is rarely a bad thing. The exchange rate blows, but it's...

    Towing with SS 1.2

Thought I'd update this for anyone else that might be looking for similar info. Got the trailer, it's 3000lbs loaded. The truck has about another 500lbs+ of crap in the back in that pic. Rides fairly level thanks to the anti-sway hitch. Bags are likely in the future though. She's not going to...

    Pinch weld......Pound or Grind???

Pound it with a big ass hammer. No need to open a seam that wasn't there to begin with.

    Towing with SS 1.2

Well, look at that. Not sure why it never occurred to me to see if Steve had anything available. I've had experience with airbags on other trucks used for towing and they definitely help. Thanks

    Towing with SS 1.2

Yeah, I'm getting a antisway hitch to minimize problems, or at least potential ones on the highway. Thanks

    Towing with SS 1.2

Thanks for the reply. Just the sort of info I was after. The trailer I'm looking at is about 3200 lbs loaded. I'm more worried about swaying at speed than anything being that the truck is considerably higher than stock. We live in a mountainous area so lots of hills and windy roads. I did the...

    Towing with SS 1.2

I'm looking at getting an ultralight travel trailer for camping and living in when I'm working out of town. I know the Runner is rated for 5k, but that's stock form. 285s on the SS 1.2 isn't exactly stock anymore. I wanted to know if there's people out there with towing experience riding the SS...

    Weathertech or Huskey floor mats

I have the Weathertech mats in the front and the cargo mat in back. I do contract work at saw mills, so it's mud and sawdust all the time and my carpets remain clean underneath. Great coverage. Not cheap but well worth the price.

    Cylinder 1 misfire

Mine was the o-ring. That's also how I tracked the problem down, by swapping injectors around and following the code. The o-rings area bit delicate so be careful installing, especially when they are older.

    Cylinder 1 misfire

I had the exact issues you're describing and it turned out to be a leaking injector. While you're in there, it's never a bad idea to check plugs and wires.

Does your trip meter misbehave when you disconnect Battery?

Yes, its does reset. I just changed my battery the other day and noticed the same thing. I lose my radio presets as well, which is way more annoying.

What Did You Do To Your 3rd Gen Today?

How is the Smittybilt pump? The volume looks promising and they are reasonably priced here

Best products to use on rusty frame

I've always tried to avoid spraying it on any rubber. There's other stuff made for that. Their website says: " Care should be taken around non oil resistant rubber goods. May cause swelling. Fluid Film may soften some vehicle undercoatings. This includes undercoating type paints. Check with...
