Backcountry navigator Original VS XE (Offline Navigation Apps)

I've been a BCNav XE backer since the Kickstarter campaign. The first few iterations were plenty buggy, but the detail was pretty fantastic IMO. The latest iOS version is pretty good overall, though I have NOT had much backcountry time the last 2 months (dammit!).

Just can't keep the miles off of this thing

Coming up on 5 years with my 2014 Trail Premium. Have 147,300 +/- 25 miles on her (Lucille is her name. :D). I've had TONS of photography adventures with her, throughout the Rocky Mountain West, but also an awesome adventure in Oct 2014 that spanned the upper midwest, Appliachia and New...

A7rII or A7rIII? You would be wise, IMO, to get the A7rIII (r3) as it uses the newer batteries with substantially better battery life!! As for the FE100-400GM lens, the only advice I have here is the make sure it is a USA market lens, not a gray-market lens. Warranty coverage on gray-market...

Starry Landscape Stacker is a one-time purchase $39.99. As for the weather…well, yeah, Mother Nature loves to wreak havoc and change forecasts at a moments notice. :( Had forecasted clear skies based on 3 of 5 Wx apps, the other 2 showing <10% chance of clouds. So much for that forecast. I...

Brake pad and rotor replacement that I recommend....

I have 145K on my 2014 ORP and am still on stock rotors/pads. Last service (140K), my pads were still in the yellow zone. That said, I am starting to look at options for replacement, to perhaps improve overall braking capability. :)

Hey Chris, I have used PS for many years. That technique works fairly well…but since using Starry Landscape Stacker for these images, I am intrigued by the quality of the output. I'm heading out again tomorrow (Friday) for a few days and will be capturing more images to push the new...

Astrophotography at Lake San Cristobal Took advantage of good Wx forecast to run down to Lake City last weekend. While conditions weren't 100% perfect, I will say the 2-1/2 hours I spent on-location were pretty damn good! Using a new technique where I shoot 10-12 images, shooting at ISO2000...

Who here is good with Photoshop?

LOL Yeah, some of the graphics I create are pretty wild (and I am by no means a "professional." I'd say I have Advanced-Intermediate PS skills. LOL

Who here is good with Photoshop?

Just an option…:) All kinds of things that 'can' be done; just depends on what you want for the final product!
