Anytime you open the system you should replace the desiccant packet.

AndroT100 I replaced my pad in my 2004 with a regular pad. I cut the hole myself. The speaker grill has an outside trim to cover the opening. If you have the skills to replace the dash, cutting the hole is only a small pucker factor to the overall job.

That was a Gulf States Toyota add-in. Done at the port, and since your in Texas you can assume that most models sold around you came from GS. It inculded their add on alarm. Mine came with that and 100,000 mile floor mats too!

AuSeeker The transmission crossmember is different between the V6 and V8. I have had them both on the floor togethe. The V6 is taller, but they both bolt into the same place and are interchangable on the frame. The 4WD bolt in too.

LKQ in Oklahoma City has two 4th Generations in their you-pull-it yard. One is a 2004 V6 the other is a 2008 V8.

daprotege5 As far as I know the frames between a V6 & V8 are different only at the engine motor mounts welded to the frame.The transmission cross piece is different but they are bolted on. The first picture is a V6. Second V8.

Pale Rider How long have you owned this truck? A 2006 with this low of miles is suspect. If you have recently purchased where is it from? Lots of flood vehicles out there, ECU and wiring problems. Lots more from high rust areas that were only driven in winter, look for ground straps and clean...

that's a great idea, but I don't know anyone that wears panty hose any longer or if you could ever buy them. I know if a store has them, I wouldn't buy them and don't want that in my Amazon history either :wink2:

hectorh Looks a little like sludging. Put some in a metal container and see if it completely dissolves with a good cleaner, like brake clean. Drop the small metal oil pan and look for stuff in the pan and the oil pick up. Also remove the front cam caps and clean the filter screen. If the sucker...

Bought 2 pairs from Rock Auto so far. One with bulbs, one without. Had to return one light out of four because it leaked. No problems on the return or the replacement lights so far. They aren’t' forever parts in my opinion. Just like miles and driving styles on brake pads, you will be polishing...

Yep have to change from NPT to BSPT. The reason they don't put gauges in my opinion is on the V8 for example the oil pressure at idle is 5 psi. Old school guys like me would think the V8 was shot if it only has 5 psi oil pressure.
