Ours will usually unlock the converter on little hills, and downshift on the bigger ones. Like others have said though, this is only with the cruise control on. Without cruise on i can stay in overdrive pretty easily. I also run with the ect or whatever it is on

How would a stock 3rd gen do? I wish i had my bronco down here Id be all for it

My antenna is broken. you can here the gear moving, but not connecting to actually raise/ lower the antenna. You have to manually put it up or down. So im also curious to see how you fix yours. If you have to replace a motor id like to know what all is involved

Definitely sounds to me that the dust shield is rubbing the rotor... I did ball joints in mine ol lady's awhile back, got it all together and had this, took the rotor back off and pounded it out until the rotor no longer touched.

Im surprised yours gets that hot with having a cooler. I havent noticed mine getting that hot ever, also monitoring with the torque app, still using only the stock cooler in the radiator. I start slowing down/ pulling over/ cooling down at 215 degrees in any of my vehicles
