Seems like it is more than that. The local newz tonight showed they were dealing with the plastic molding that is over the center console beside the gas pedal - Not just the mats. They showed that it can come loose and catch the pedal.

Mine had the mats removed by the dealer when I bought it in 3/10. You could not get them from any dealer then either (I asked a few). I went with the weathertech, but wondered why there was not a recall when they could not get them then.

Agreed I guess that is my question. Does changing the tire size necessitate an alignment? If it does not (as you said), then any out of spec would be from some other source than tire size change.
