WANTED Does anyone have a coupler from a first or second gen Tacoma (or similar 4runner) that goes in between the transfer case and transmission? Normally people discard these when they do a crawl box setup. I managed to accidentally discard mine.

With the transmission in Neutral, what happens when you shift into 4-low? Putting it in low should force the 4wd rail in the tcase into position.

Just see if it will connect and read codes, this will at least tell us if the ECU is getting power. Then double check for any codes.

The fuel pumps in our trucks do not prime, they only run when the motor is cranking. Disconnecting the return line is probably the easiest way to see if fuel is getting pumped in. Or you can get to the pumps harness under the rear seat and put a test light on it. More import question, do you...

Sounds like the EFI relay. One quick way to test is to swap the EFI relay with the Tail relay (in the under hood fusebox).

Just to clear up the other replies cause they are both right. if you have ABS. You have a speed sensor on each wheel, and the ABS computer is what averages them and feeds the speedometer. If you do not have ABS, then its one bolt on your transfer case to remove the VSS.

I managed to free mine once using a hand vac. Similar to this one: https://www.harborfreight.com/brake-bleeder-and-vacuum-pump-kit-63391.html Just pumped it a few times on each port, then put it in 4wd and drove around for a few minutes. It eventually clicked over.

I got the TIS and started downloading. Found out last night I can actually search those PDFs for "II2" and "II3" so I am slowly piecing them together. Looks like what I posted for the II3 connector is for a manual which appears to be a lot different.
