That's exactly how I feel. I spent a lot of time researching HID retrofits for my 4Runner, and I've done the same with my Volkswagen and other cars I've owned. I understand how involved they can be. If TRS is going to market a kit like this, it seems only logical to expect that it would offer...

Sure thing! I've also had good success with Napa premium rotors in the past, but I've never used them on the 4Runner since I get the Centric rotors via Amazon Prime.

I meant to post the link for anyone interested. Looks like rjb75 beat me to it! I hadn't thought of 5th gen brakes, either. I actually stumbled across that thread by accident while I was searching for NAPA part numbers for the seized front calipers I found. This was the second caliper issue...

The swap went fine, no issues at all with the new parts. I decided I'm not using speed bleeders anymore, after I snapped one off inside my brand new caliper. I took care of that and managed to avoid damage to the caliper threads- I guess that was my fault for not paying attention and tightening...

I finished upgrading my front brake calipers and rotors to 5th gen parts: :thumb:

It gave me something to work on during the heavy thunderstorms that came through tonight. I drilled the center out to 5/32" and tried using an allen key with no success. So I grabbed a T25 impact bit and hammered it in with a 4 lb sledge, then turned the torque all the way down on my 1/4"...

I started my 5th gen brake upgrade, but I ran into a slight delay... Yes, that's half of a speed bleeder in my brand new caliper. :frusty:

So, will the larger 4th gen rotors that I already have work with 5th gen calipers? I thought I'd have to switch rotors too... Can anyone confirm this?

You just might. My wife is a teacher for FCPS and her school is around that area, so I'm out that way on a pretty regular basis. Shouldn't be too hard to spot, I never see any T4R like mine around here! And if I'm driving my 'Wagen... well, you'll hear me before you see me. Ha ha. [emoji41]

I'm getting the feeling that even if they aren't perfect, they certainly seem to be a huge improvement over the 4th gen. Slightly better stopping power is a nice bonus, too! And I split my automotive forum time between here and VWvortex, so it's VERY nice to see us all getting along! [emoji3]
