I've searched and searched. Everything I'm finding is on programming the fob... The lock/unlock part

It is the chipped key. I programmed the fob using the techstream software. Are you saying that getting the 4runner to recognize the new chipped key can be done with techstream? If so, I'd appreciate it if you can tell me where it's hidden. I've clicked every tab I can think of and cannot find it.

Problem is, I don't have an old fob. Wife lost her key so that left us with one. I'm trying to get a working spare. It's cut just fine and the lock/unlock works. I just need to figure out how to get the 4runner to recognize the new key to allow it to start the engine.

Any luck programming the transponder on your new keys? I got the key cut and the fob works the lock/unlock but won't start it. I've tried a couple of the sequences I found online, inserting the key etc but to no avail.

You'll want 6 3/4 for the doors and 5 1/4 for the hatch, generally. You can check out Crutchfield: Car Stereo, Speakers, Home Theater, Pro Audio, 4k TV to see what fits. They're not always the cheapest option but they throw in mounting brackets and wire harnesses plus directions with pics on how...
