Thanks for the response. I marked the location of the slector switch and then loosened the jam nut on the selector switch next to the transfer case, and check the shift with an adjustable wrench. It was smooth and positive. I checked alignment of the selector switch per the manual, and tightened...

Update: Having manuals in hand, I reviewed the relays and switchs. Last item to check this weekend is the plug end at the ECU. Still open to any thoughts? Last experience with our folks at the local Toyota Dealer was $$$. Ed 93 T4R
