Ordering 2020 New From a Dealer (In Texas)

So you are going to pay full retail just so you can say "you" ordered it? Are you hoping for build #1, no dealer prep and going to store it in a climate controlled garage for 30 years hoping it goes up in value? Or do you just have more money then sense? As previously noted you just order...

    Which 4runner?

I love my 07 V8 4Runner. The full time 4wd High with option to switch to Low plus BFG A/T K02's make it a beast and I trust it to go anywhere. I take it to the Blue Ridge mountains and have never had any issues with loss of power or getting through trails or snow.

    Whats Up RockAuto Playing Games?

Just ordered a computer from Costco.com and they also charged me tax on the shipping. I smell a class action lawsuit coming in the future. How can you tax shipping fees?

pre purchase what to look for

Back to the OP. I would be sure to get it on a lift and check for frame rust. I love my V8 full time 4x4. The V8 has a timing belt (not chain) so be sure it has been replaced if it has over 100K miles. Good luck and welcome.

Check engine light turned off by itself... what to do?

Did you happen to fuel up before the lights went off? Sometimes just a loose gas cap with throw codes.

How the 2019 Toyota 4Runner Defies Rationality

You only have to be inches from falling off a cliff in the mountains of NC to realize a Honda Pilot is NOT a 4Runner. Sold the mom car and bought my 4Runner two days later. Never looked back. Everything I need and more. My ex-wife has a Subaru and it's pretty good. But it will not go where the...

Texas will never be a Socialist leaning state. You trespass on someone's property and you might get shot.

    NADA Values

I wish I had access to Black Book values. I help family members negotiate prices on car purchases. So for a used car the best I can do is have them try to get a price below NADA Loan Value. Not sure if that's optimal given the access I have and it's limitations.

    NADA Values

A 4Runner, even with high mileage, sells in a couple days here in NC. But in FL they are much cheaper and sit around much longer. Certainly where you live is a big factor in what it's "worth" to the buyer/seller.

    NADA Values

Out of curiosity I checked the NADA value (KBB values are nonsense) of my 4Runner. I have a 2007 SR5 V8 4x4 with 104,000. It's had everything serviced (timing belt, water pump, brakes, power steering flush, new battery, new BFG K02's, etc.). NADA Values: Avg Trade In: $8,925 Clean Trade In...

    Drag Racing!

With the V8 it's full time 4x4 so a little water on the tires isn't going to matter. I can launch at full throttle in the pouring rain and not even spin a tire. And for stock a 16.7 is pretty respectable for such a heavy truck. I love my V8 4x4 and will drive it until it (or I) dies. :usa2:

Greener grass in the mud terrain pasture?

I love my BFG KO2's. They make no road noise but get me through NC snow and muddy mountain roads with no problem.

And You Think Prices Are High in Your Area?

I was interviewing with Amazon in Seattle and they didn't even balk at $200K a year plus benefits and stock options due to the high cost of living. Lots of hipsters with full pockets and bong in hand. :playball:

And You Think Prices Are High in Your Area?

That's an awesome theory. I'll ask $65,000 CASH ONLY. Sorry dear no one wants to buy it.

    What else do you drive?

Oh I miss my S2000. They are soaring in value and I even had the hardtop. So mad I sold it.
