from my understanding you are buying them for durability and off-road prowess. that's what I can gather from my limited research. I also have a '97 sr5 4x4 and that was around $30k back in '96. Guess what? It still runs strong!

I'm looking to upgrade the wife's rig from a 1997 4runner sr5 to a 2014 4runner sr5 premium. (about time amirite??? I'm keepin the 3rd gen though!) We went to a local dealership and got some quotes on the sr5, sr5 premium and sr5 trail (trail looks nicest IMO!) But we need the 3rd row...

Found the answer. FSM says Voltage output calculated as percentage. 0% = 0 volts; 100% = 5 volts. Normal condition, fully closed = 7%-11% (0.35-0.55 volts); fully open = 65%-75% (3.25-3.75 volts). The values in the parenthesis I derived myself. I will try this out today.

Any advice on correcting the throttle plate stop screw? I cannot get the idle characteristics to stock.
