Yeah what scares me it's a 8speed tranny ... And have to keep in mind that 4runner build in Japan .. I just reading stories how 8 speed failing ... just I dont want buy car and if tranny is going to fail in a middle of nowhere...

Thank you guys ! It's kind of hard to buy a new vehicles... Btw Highlanders have problems with transmissions 8-speed ..17 and 18 ..year .. not sure about 2019 year ... Yeah 4runnes more reliable... I always heard to stay away from new stuff.... Thanks again guys !

Forgot to mentioned why I liked ride in Nissan because we have some bad roads uneven, small potholes and you feel less imperfections then in the car .. ... typical for NY state because salt is ruined the roads . But I also want to my wife be happy when we is going to buy a car ..

Dont forget 5VZ has Iron block which means it will outlast 1gr fe ... 1gr fe dont have a good lifespan as 5VZ ... 5VZ is non interference engine ... so when timing belt will broke it wont destroy the engine .. 1GR has many problems like head gaskets ....
